THUKA manufactures furniture in Estonia using certified wood, independently tested materials and externally audited management systems.
Wood-based materials used in production are subject to documented chain-of-custody controls and formaldehyde emission requirements. Product materials and surface treatments are tested by accredited laboratories for compliance with applicable product safety requirements, including formaldehyde emissions, migration of elements, lead content and other regulated substances where applicable.
Production offcuts and non-conforming materials are reprocessed and reused where technically feasible. Material losses are monitored as part of continuous improvement activities.
Manufacturing activities are carried out under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified management systems. Manufacturing sites are regularly assessed through SMETA audits covering social and ethical aspects of business operations.
Thuka Nordwood AS is committed to implementing and maintaining the chain of custody requirements in accordance with FSC and PEFC standards
