How a collection is born: FORMA, from a line to finished furniture

Every THUKA collection begins with a line and ends in someone’s home. The story of FORMA shows how an idea turns into furniture you can put your hand on.

First chapter — the idea and the prototype

The design process starts with a need and a material. We work up the first sketches, build prototypes and test them in real use, so that every detail has been thought through.

Second chapter — finishing and production

Once the prototypes are signed off, the range moves into production. We choose certified timber, sand the parts and coat them with an environmentally friendly finish that lasts for years.

Third chapter — the finished piece

The finished furniture is packed with care, checked and sent on its way — to a retailer, to a project, or straight to a home. That is how FORMA arrives where it all started: an idea, in everyday use.
